1. About Wavora Travels
Wavora Travels (hereinafter referred to as “Wavora”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a Sri Lankan inbound travel agency registered with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). We specialize in creating tailor-made tours, cultural journeys, wellness retreats, and premium travel experiences in Sri Lanka.
By booking a tour or service with Wavora, you (hereinafter referred to as the “Client”, “guest”, or “you”) agree to abide by the following Terms & Conditions, which form a legally binding agreement.
2. Confirmation of Booking
- A booking is confirmed once Wavora issues a written confirmation after receiving the required deposit.
- Deposits: 50% advance payment is required at the time of booking. The balance must be settled at least 7 days prior to arrival in Sri Lanka.
- Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring that all personal details (including passport information) are accurate when booking.
3. Payment Policy
- Payments can be made via Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, Wise, or approved gateways.
- All bank charges or transaction fees are the responsibility of the Client.
- No hidden fees apply. Currency conversions are based on the Central Bank of Sri Lanka rates at the time of booking.
- Non-payment within the due date may result in cancellation of your reservation.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
a) Cancellation by Wavora
We strive to honor every confirmed booking. However, Wavora reserves the right to cancel in cases of Force Majeure (see clause 13). In such cases, a full refund will be issued, or an alternative itinerary of equal value will be offered.
b) Cancellation by Client
All cancellation requests must be sent in writing to your assigned travel consultant. Refunds will be made as follows:
- 60+ days before arrival → 100% refund of amount paid
- 30–59 days before arrival → 95% refund
- 15–29 days before arrival → 75% refund
- 8–14 days before arrival → 50% refund
- 7 days or less before arrival → Non-refundable
Special Pandemic Clause: In the event of travel bans, border closures, or health emergencies, Wavora will provide a 100% refund if cancellation is made at least 21 days prior to arrival.
5. Changes to Itinerary
a) By Wavora
Wavora may adjust itineraries due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g., hotel overbookings, safety concerns). Any substitutions will be of equal or higher standard. If lower standard services are provided, Wavora will refund the difference in cost.
b) By Client
Once finalized, changes requested by the Client will be accommodated where possible. Additional charges may apply depending on suppliers’ policies.
6. Client Responsibility
- You must ensure valid passports, visas, insurance, and vaccinations are arranged prior to travel.
- You must inform Wavora of any medical conditions, disabilities, or special dietary needs at the time of booking.
- Any loss or delays resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client are not the responsibility of Wavora.
7. Travel Insurance
All clients are required to hold comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and personal belongings.
8. Liability & Limitations
- Wavora acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers (hotels, airlines, transport companies, etc.).
- We cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, accident, delay, or damage caused by third-party providers.
- Our liability is limited to the value of the services purchased.
9. Force Majeure
Wavora is not liable for disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, political unrest, terrorism, or extreme weather. In such cases, refunds are subject to recoverable supplier costs.
10. Customer Care & Complaints
- Wavora is committed to resolving any complaints promptly.
- Clients must notify their tour consultant or local representative within 24 hours of any issue.
- Failure to report complaints during the trip may affect refund claims.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
